Taking a mass of 2000mm x 40mm x 1500mm, (LxWxH), facets on all four surfaces were cut away leaving a monolithic and angular form. As a piece for a TV cabinet, an indent was made for the flat screen TV in the front and an excavated volume in the lower portion was provided the for storage of media equipment. To visually lighten the piece, equal slots dividing the full length of the piece were introduced.
