The thesis takes on 2 challenges, firstly to reuse the abandoned train tunnel, providing a new program which encapsulates both an Architectural scale relating to its 30' width, and an urban scale, relating to the coverage of 1mile above ground. Secondly to explore the possibilities of providing natural light in excavated spaces underground.
