The Eastside Tunnel in Providence Rhode Island, starting at Benefit Street, leading to Fox Point Bridge, officially shut down in 1959 after the train line was abandoned. The tunnel was closed off after numerous 'urban-legend' related events took place over the past few decades in the passage. Running an entire mile by a width of 30', the tunnel runs under Providence Hill. At its deepest point, the tunnel is 8 floors underground.
